Become a
Toter.

Emerald Tote runs on independent contractors who deliver and pick up totes in their local market. If you have a vehicle, a flexible schedule, and want to earn on your own terms, this is for you.

What Does a Toter Do?

A Toter is an independent contractor who handles the physical delivery and pickup of Emerald Tote rental sets. When a customer books online, a Toter delivers a stack of clean, ready-to-use totes to their door the day before their move, and returns after the move to collect them.

Routes are clustered geographically so you're not wasting time driving across town. Most delivery windows take 2–4 hours and can be scheduled around your existing commitments.

This isn't a gig-app side hustle with unpredictable demand. Moving is seasonal and predictable. You’ll know when the busy periods are, and you can plan accordingly.

As Emerald Tote grows, our best Toters will have the opportunity to step into Market Manager roles, overseeing inventory, coordinating other Toters, and running an entire market area.

The Benefits of Being a Toter

Earn Per Delivery

Get paid for every delivery and pickup you complete. Routes are optimized and clustered so you're not driving all over town, your time is respected.

Set Your Own Schedule

You choose when you work. Accept routes that fit your availability. Peak demand is predictable: move-in weekends, month-end, and university move-out seasons.

Use Your Own Vehicle

A cargo van, pickup truck, or SUV with cargo space is all you need. No special equipment required. Totes stack cleanly and load fast.

Local Routes Only

All deliveries are within your designated market area. No long-haul driving. You know your city, and that’s exactly what we need.

Be a Market Leader

Early Toters in new markets have the opportunity to grow into market manager roles, overseeing routes, inventory, and other Toters in your area.

Simple & Transparent

Clear per-delivery rates, no hidden deductions. You'll always know what you're earning before you accept a route.
